JUDGEY
Privacy Policy
Judgey is a 1-on-1 mobile guessing game published by Arctic Eagle Consulting (the "publisher"). This policy explains exactly what data the Judgey app collects, why, and who it goes to. We've kept it short on purpose — the app's data footprint is small.
1. Data we collect
- Account identifier. When you sign in with Apple or email, we store a Supabase user ID (a UUID), plus your handle and (optional) profile photo.
- Email address. Either the address you sign up with, or the relay address Apple provides if you choose "Hide My Email".
- Game data. Matches you've played, the secrets you've submitted, your guesses, the AI umpire's verdicts, your win/loss/streak counts, and the daily-quota counter.
- Subscription state. If you purchase Unlimited, we receive your subscription tier, renewal date, and the Apple
original_transaction_id(we never see your payment card). - Diagnostic + usage signals. We do not collect crash logs, advertising identifiers, location, or behavioural analytics. We do log per-call AI usage and edge-function logs server-side for debugging — these contain only the user ID and the request payload, never device fingerprints or third-party identifiers.
2. How we use it
- Run the game (matchmaking, AI adjudication, leaderboard).
- Enforce the 3-free-per-day quota for non-subscribers.
- Display your handle and avatar to your match opponent during a duel.
- Manage subscription state via Apple + RevenueCat.
That's it. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or building a marketing list.
3. Who we share data with
We use a small set of third-party processors to run the app. They only ever see the data needed to perform their function:
- Apple App Store + StoreKit — sign-in, in-app purchases. Governed by Apple's privacy policy.
- Supabase — database, authentication, edge functions, storage. Hosts your account and game records on EU/US infrastructure.
- RevenueCat — subscription state validation. Receives your Supabase user ID and Apple transaction ID.
- Google Gemini — the AI umpire that adjudicates each Yes/No question. Receives the secret and the question text for the duration of the call. The conversation is not retained by Google for model training (Gemini API enterprise-tier setting).
We never sell, rent, or otherwise share your data with advertisers, analytics aggregators, or data brokers.
4. Children
Judgey is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us using the address below and we'll delete their account.
5. Your rights
- Access + export. Email the address below and we'll send you a JSON export of your account and game history.
- Edit. You can change your handle, photo, and notification preferences in the app's Settings.
- Delete. Settings → Delete account is a permanent two-step destructive flow. Your handle and avatar are scrubbed; match history is retained anonymously (your row is replaced with a generic placeholder).
- Withdraw subscription consent. Manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
6. Data retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. After you delete your account, your handle, email, and avatar are removed within 24 hours. Match history is kept indefinitely in anonymised form (with your user ID replaced) for the leaderboard and as game-record integrity. Subscription receipts are retained for 7 years to comply with Apple's reporting requirements.
7. International transfers
Supabase, RevenueCat, and Google Gemini operate data centres in the United States and may process data there. By using Judgey you consent to your data being processed outside your home country.
8. Security
All app traffic uses HTTPS/TLS. Subscription validation is signed end-to-end through Apple → RevenueCat → our edge function. Database access is gated by Postgres row-level security; one user cannot read another user's private data.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change (new processor, new data category, new use), we'll update the "Last updated" date and, for active subscribers, send an in-app notification. Continued use of Judgey after such a change constitutes acceptance.
